Camp4 - Climbing News Archive

When: Wed, Sept 4, 4:00pm
Where: Flagstaff Amphitheater Parking, Boulder, CO
Why: Because we like to cleanup other people's trash.

To get there:

Go West on Baseline Road. Three miles past the start of Flagstaff Mountain take a right turn on the Flagstaff Summit Road. Follow this to the biggest parking lot at Flagstaff Summit near the Ranger/Visitor Center.

What to bring, …besides yourself and your friends:

Bring work gloves, and carpool if possible. OSMP will have some gloves on hand if you don't have your own. Also, dress warmly. If the weather is foul and it is raining horizontal, bring storm gear, and consider it training for Patagonia.

Beer, Barbeque, & Bootie!

Following the cleanup (8:00 ish) there will be beer (courtesy of Avery Brewing Company) and barbeque (courtesy of the City of Boulder Mountain Parks) at the Rock Shelter, approximately 50 yards to the west of the Flagstaff Summit parking lot.

A drawing will also be held at the party to distribute a pile of stuff from the following sponsors: La Sportiva, Kelty, Trango, Lowe, Neptune Mountaineering, Climbing Magazine, The American Alpine Club, The Access Fund, The Spot Climbing Gym, Crater Holds, Mountain Miser,, EMS, Rock'in Resole, Boulder Rock Club, and many others…..

If you can't make it till later, just show up when you can, and there will be someone to direct you to the cleanup efforts already underway.
