Bad news for IWC, QUEBEC 2003 cancelled!

On Monday 20th of November, local organisers of Quebec, cancelled the final event in Quebec which should have taken place from 28th February - 2nd March 2003. Statement of the local organiser you find on http://www.ice-time.com/ !

Additionally the planned route setter course in Quebec had to be cancelled by ICCIC.

ICW officials respond by saying, "The organizers of the Ice Climbing World Cup 2003 have taken the hard decision to cancel the event that was supposed to take place on February 28th, March 1st-2nd and Le Relais ski center. This choice is motivated mainly by financial difficulties and logistical problems with the installation of the climbing structure. Even with lots of hard work and an excellent support from our public and private partners, the 2003 event will not be held. However, there are opportunities in the air and the event might come back in 2004.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our public and private partners for their support and for all the efforts who were engaged for this event. (Carine Dubois; Communication manager) carine@productionsinextremis.com."
